You have a right to apply for a re-rating with a view to obtaining a new and higher food hygiene rating at any time, provided that you have made the required improvements to resolve the non-compliances identified at the time of inspection.
What you can do
If you are currently a business with a rating of 0 - 4 and you have made improvements to your business in preparation for a re-inspection you can complete the form below and this will be considered by an Environmental Health Officer.
- Any supporting evidence i.e. documents, photographs, can be emailed to the Environmental Health Team
- We can also arrange to carry out a Food Hygiene Rerating Pre-Inspection advisory visit for a fee of £147.00.
- Upon receipt of your request an Officer will contact you to arrange payment of the £198.00 fee. The fee must be paid within 10 working days of the request. If payment is not made within this timescale, the request will be closed.
