Road safety cycle training

We provide free National Cycle Training for children and adults.

  • Level one training - Held in an enclosed traffic free area (i.e. school playground), for one session lasting approximately 2 hours in duration.
  • Level two training - Practical on-road training comprises of four sessions (three on-road), each lasting for half a day. These are held at centres (including schools) across the borough, some courses are offered during the school summer holidays.
  • Level three training - Individually tailored for anyone who wishes to use cycling for travel, journeying from home to school, work or college etc.

All course participants need to use a high visibility waistcoat and a cycle helmet which will be issued, if you do not have your own. Successful attendees will receive a certificate and Bikeability badge.
