Tool Shed

The Tool Shed is our exciting new environmental initiative that is kind to both our planet and purses!

Supporting local community organisations and groups to form a network of Tool Sheds across the borough, so that tenants and residents can access the tools they need to maintain their gardens for minimal costs - saving them a shed load!

The Tool shed Mission and Ethos

We believe that everyone should be able to access gardening tools for minimal or no cost. By sharing tools with local community groups that form the Tool Shed Network we hope that tenants and residents in the Wigan borough have a more affordable and sustainable option to access tools that can help to maintain their gardens.

We also believe that by sharing these tools rather than buying them will have a much kinder, gentler impact on our planet reducing the number of unused items going to landfill each year. Sharing really is caring!

Tool Sheds

We currently have two Tool Sheds that are set up and ready to access.

Each Tool Shed operates individually and therefore may have different operating times than others, please contact your local Tool Shed directly to find out how to become a member, and for their opening times and availability.

If you are a community group/organisation and are interested in facilitating one of our Tool Shed projects in your area please contact the Tenant Voice and Engagement Team online or call 01942 486645.
