Have you recently started your own business, setting up or got an idea?
Build A Business (external link) is an innovative project aimed at small businesses, entrepreneurs and anyone thinking of starting their own business.
It’s running in a number of libraries across Greater Manchester authorities, offering tailored help to support new businesses, based in the new Business and Intellectual Property Centre at Wigan Library, Wigan Life Centre, WN1 1NH
Build A Business in GM Libraries is part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with a grant of £1.4 million, and managed by Manchester City Council. The project will run until March 2025.
Economic Growth that benefits everyone is one of the key themes from The Deal 2030. Encouraging entrepreneurship in the borough was something many felt strongly about and we want to support people to take their ideas and turn them into business opportunities.
We heard that it is important for businesses to engage with the council electronically for support and training but also the importance of helping them to keep in touch with each other.
We will be offering free tailored support to new businesses and entrepreneurs through workshops and events. Our Enterprise officer will provide one to one support and create a business information plan specific to you.
