Both the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 state that a notice outlining brief details of your application must be sent to a number of responsible authorities.
We will arrange for this be done electronically on your behalf.
However, if your application has a plan of the premises attached which is larger than A3, you should send three copies of this document to us.
The responsible authorities we will send this notice to are:
Licensing and gambling
- The Chief Officer of Police for the area in which the premises are situated
- The Fire Authority for the area in which the premises are situated
- The Local Planning Authority for the area in which the premises are situated
- The body recognised as being responsible for Protection of Children from Harm for the area in which the premises are situated
- The Health and Safety Authority for the area in which the premises are situated
- The relevant Licensing Authority
- The Environmental Health Authority for the area in which the premises are situated
Licensing only
- Inspectors of Weights and Measures
- The Director of Public Health
- In respect of vessels only the British Waterways Board
- Home Office Immigration Enforcement (on behalf of the Secretary of State).
Gambling only
- The Commision
- Her Majesty's Commissioners of Customs and Excise
