Before you apply
Before you begin your application, please make sure you have read our Private Sector Housing Privacy Notice to understand how we store and use your personal data.
After you submit your application form, please email DAS@wigan.gov.uk as soon as possible with your supporting evidence and documentation, which should include:
- Proof of current housing status e.g. your current tenancy agreement or copies of any eviction notices received
- Proof of income e.g. a copy of a recent wage slip or details of any benefits received, including proof of your Universal Credit award
- Proof of local connection e.g. utility bill (if you live in Wigan), a copy of a recent wage slip (if you work in Wigan) or a relative’s utility bill (if a relative lives in Wigan).
If we do not receive your supporting information (see above) we will not be able to process your application. If we do not receive contact from you within 28 days of receiving your application, your application will be closed.
