Visitors can discover peace and quiet just minutes from Leigh in this 37 acre nature reserve.
Managed and maintained by United Utilities, the site has been transformed since 1990 from a grassy desert alongside a waste water treatment works to a site that boasts a complex array of wetland habitats.
Wildflower meadows, lakes, ponds, waterfowl and rare plants are just some of the sites to be taken in.
