How to pay your Good Trader Scheme fees

Before you pay your Good Trader Scheme fees →

By paying your Good Trader Scheme fees, you are confirming the following terms and conditions:

  • You have no county court judgements
  • You have no unspent criminal convictions
  • You have valid membership for any trade associations that I display
  • You have valid insurance cover of at least £2 million and will continue to do so for the duration of this annual membership.

Payment can currently be made via any of the following methods:

BACS transfer

If you would like to pay this fee by BACS transfer please use the following information:

  • Reference: Please quote your Good Trader Scheme membership number or your business name to ensure your payment can be identified.

Please email us atRegulation@wigan.gov.uk to confirm you are making a payment via this method.

The council receive a large number of payments via this method and it is important that the BACS team can distinguish between the payments and correctly allocate your payment to the Trading Standards section. Failure to inform us that you are making a payment via this method could lead to your application not being processed or your membership to the scheme not being issued/renewed.

In person

To make a payment in person please go to Wigan Life Centre.

Please be aware that when paying in person at the Wigan Life Centre you can only make payments by credit/debit card. There is no provision available for fees to be paid in cash or by cheque at the Life Centre.
