A columbarium is a memorial in which you can store the ashes from a cremation.
We offer two versions - the Sanctum 2000 and the Sanctum Panorama.
Sanctum 2000
Large enough to securely accept two caskets, urns or polytainers they are made from polished granite and the base includes a space for a flower vase. The large face plaques are suitable for a wide range of design options.

Sanctum Panorama
The Sanctum Panorama is an individual niche in 32 faceted structure, and is large enough to securely accept two specific caskets, urns or polytainers. All memorials are made from polished granite. The medium sized face plaques are suitable for a wide range of design options.
This version is only available at Wigan Crematorium.

Plaque design
All lease options include a black granite plaque with the first 80 gilded letters. Additional letters are available at a cost of £5.00 a letter if ordered with the original order.
Design options include (examples are available at the Bereavement Services Office and Wigan Crematorium):
- A photo plaque 7cm x 5cm can be added for a cost of £144.00 (if ordered with the original order)
- A simple design can be added for a cost of £109.00 (if ordered with the original order)
- A bespoke design can be added for an individual cost.

A second inscription can be added to the large faced black plaque provided sufficient space is available.
A memorial application can be refused if, in the opinion of the manager and Registrar, that the inscription would be unsuitable for the Garden of Remembrance.

Only metal urns, wooden caskets or polytainers will be permitted.

These are all available from the Bereavement Services Office or Wigan Crematorium.
Flowers containers
A metal flower container for natural flowers will be incorporated into the memorial. Please note no artificial flowers are allowed on the columbarium, if artificial flowers are placed on the columbarium or in the flower containers they will be removed.
No additional vases, flower containers, memorials, article or thing are to be placed upon these memorial gardens or within the Gardens of Remembrance. We may remove any withered or dead flowers.
Rules
It will be the responsibility of the leaseholder to inform the Manager and Registrar of any change of address within the duration of the lease.
The plaque may be removed if the option to renew the lease is not taken up.
Liability cannot be accepted for damage caused to a memorial by persons other than Bereavement Services employees.
