Looking at careers and trying to work out what you want to do when faced with so much choice may seem bewildering. That’s because it is, yet it’s also exciting.
Think about the subjects you enjoy at school and college. Look at the careers and jobs you see family or friends doing and ask them what it’s like and how they got into it. Google and read up on different job roles. You’ll find there will be something out there that’s just right for you.
And did you know, Gen Alpha (that’s you) may have 5 - 7 career changes and up to 15 jobs in their lifetime. So, it’s okay to start a career then change your mind and do something different. As you learn and train, you’ll develop skills you can take into a range of different careers, led by what you enjoy. So don’t be daunted, feel excited, it really is a time of opportunity and there are lots of people, support and options to help you.
