In accordance with Policy SP4 of the Core Strategy, strategic infrastructure assessments have been produced to inform the Council’s decision making on planning applications for housing development in the two broad locations of Standish and Golborne and Lowton.
The infrastructure assessments are not part of the local development plan, and are not supplementary planning documents. They are evidence documents that will be supplemented by other evidence available to the council at the time that decisions are taken, including from applicants, consultees and other third parties. However, they have been prepared by the council on the basis of having significant weight in the planning application process.
