Before requesting pre-application advice, you will need to confirm the correct fee for your type of development - see our fees page.
The fee is payable online when the application is made.
Supporting documents
You will need to submit all supporting documents to validation@wigan.gov.uk. These include:
- Location plan at the relevant scale (usually 1:1250 or 1:2500), with a north point, that clearly outlines the proposal site
- Drawings of the proposed development, including siting, scale, heights and elevations
- Photographs (if helpful)
- If applicable, reports/surveys depending on the development proposed i.e. tree survey, heritage appraisal, ecological assessment, coal mining risk assessment etc.
Once you have completed the form and payment is made, a planning officer will contact you shortly and may request additional information (if necessary).
