The Landlord Hub is our new, interactive service for landlords, allowing local landlords and letting agents to connect with the Council in a new way whilst accessing a range of useful resources, information and opportunities.
How do I register?
Simply visit Landlord Hub to sign up as a new user and register your rental properties.
What can I do through the Hub?
- Set up your own user profile, uploading the details of any rental properties in the Wigan Borough along with any relevant compliance and tenancy information.
- Contact the Council’s Private Sector Housing Team with any enquiries – whether you want to find out more about our incentive schemes, would like help sourcing a new tenant for your vacant property or are in need of some general advice and support – this is the route to get in touch.
- Access helpful template documents, such as model tenancy agreements, letters and property inventories.
- Stay on top of the latest legislation and key developments shaping the private rental sector, through our regular landlord newsletters and bulletins.
- Receive exclusive invites to our landlord forums, workshops and training events.
- Access unique funding and investment opportunities to help you grow your property portfolio, as we connect you to local empty homes available for purchase and the routes to available financial assistance.
- Stay on track with your rental properties, as we provide helpful email reminders when compliance certificates (such as the gas safety check) are about to expire.
- Edit your own preferences, so you can be sure we will only get in touch with the news and opportunities you want to hear about.
Do I need to be a landlord or agent to register?
No, there is no requirement for users to be active landlords, who own and let properties. The Hub is a great way for any prospective landlords, investors or developers – who may be looking to invest in the Borough – to stay connected with the latest news and opportunities from the Council. Simply register your details and email preferences, and upload the details of your rental properties if and when you acquire them.

Landlord Housing Benefit Portal
If you receive housing benefit direct for any of your tenants, you can view and download current and historic payments via our Landlord Housing Benefit Portal.
