How to get there and access the centre

Your social worker assessment will identify whether you require transport to and from the day centre. However, your own preferred method of transport may be more suitable for your individual needs.

To attend the day centre, you will require an assessment. If you already have a social worker or social care officer, please contact them to request an assessment.

If you do not have a social worker, you can contact our Community Adult Front Door team on 01942 828777 or complete our online form:

Once you have contacted our duty team, the staff will arrange to visit you at home and organise a visit to the day centre. Free taster days are available to try before you attend.

Testimonies

  • "The Central Day Centre is a special and wonderful place. As a day centre they cater to your specific and individual needs, making your day happy and comfortable. The management and all the staff are so friendly, caring and dedicated in every way, delivering a superior service. I cannot praise them enough for everything they do."
  • "A lovely environment where mum is always warmly welcomed, greeted with a friendly smile and looked after with great care, dignity and respect. The carers provide quality care and support and quickly got to know mum well. Mum enjoys a variety of interactive and fun activities which help to stimulate and engage her, but more importantly she enjoys the social interaction, company and friendship that it provides. We feel confident that she is well cared for and safe when attending the day centre, whilst at the same time providing much needed respite for us as carers."
