My Role: Physiotherapist

Where I work: NHS Community Therapy Team based at Leigh Town Hall.

What do I do in my role?

I assess and treat a range of patients referred with fractures / falls / mobility issues / and various medical issues who may benefit from physiotherapy input.

What’s my career journey?

I completed my A levels and degree in Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University.

I completed my junior rotations in physio before specialising in MSK physiotherapy and then decided to move into community.

What’s the best thing about my job?

Helping people to get their independence back.

What do I want to do next?

I would like to go into teaching physiotherapy at a university.

My advice if you want to do what I do

Go and do it! Work hard, be determined, if you want it, you can achieve it! It’s a very rewarding job.
