Councillor, Portfolio Holder for Police, Crime and Civil Contingencies.
Cllr Dane Anderton is Cabinet Member for Police, Crime and Civil Contingencies at Wigan Council, and Chairs the Borough’s Community Safety Partnership with representation from GMP, GMFRS, Public Health and various Local Authority services involved with community safety. He is also the local councillor for Leigh West Ward.
Dane also chairs the Adult Education Board for the borough and is also Chair of Governors at two local schools: Newton Westpark Primary School and The Westleigh High School.
Dane’s professional experience (outside of his councillor role) is in research regarding local economic development and policy which he is keen to leverage and bring to the Leigh Town Board forum.
