Treasurer and Trustee of The Bridge at Leigh.
Dorothy is a founding trustee of The Bridge at Leigh the working name of Leigh Caring Kitchen registered charity CIO, the largest Food Pantry in the Borough providing affordable surplus food to the community, and Tea Junction Community Café.
Dorothy is proud to be a born and bred Leyther. With a background in retail, she spent all her working life in Leigh in the family business Cooks shoes.
Dorothy has always been active in local life, a member of Leigh Soroptimists for over 40 years and a member of Leigh Inner Wheel. She was one of the instigators of Leigh Business Partnership, a member of Leigh Town Centre Management group and played a lead part in Leigh Centenary Celebrations.
Dorothy is married to Frank, and enjoys spending time with their three children, nine grandchildren and their partners, with 7 great grandchildren which keeps her busy when not at The Bridge.
